 +[[麤]] [[sthūla]]. course, [[rough]], crude, unrefined, immature.

 +麤人 麁人 The immature man of [[Hīnayāna]],​ who has a rough foundation, in contrast with the mature or refined 細人 man of [[Mahayana]]. [[Tiantai]] applied 麤 to the 藏, 通, and 別 schools, reserving 細 for the 圓 school.
